The decal sheet gives the modeller three navy squadron options and 200 maintenance/data markings.

Decal option for one complete model from a choice of;

  • XT509:001:R: 892 squadron. Three choices;
    • Normal squadron finish
    • Blue 3 Daily Mail trans-atlantic race
    • White ensign
  • XT859:725:VL: 700P squadron. Scheme as attended at the Farnborough Air Show, September 16-22 1968. Transferred to 892 squadron, March 31, 1969 as R001.

Navy Colours Gloss White (Hobby Colour H1) Extra Dark Sea Grey BS381c/640 (Hobby Colour H333)

  • XV579:157:VL: 767 squadron. One of five RAF aircraft loaned for service with 767 squadron. The squadron was tasked with training FG1 crews for the RAF as well as navy crews.

Camouflage Colours all BS381c, Light Aircraft Grey 627 Hobby Colour H332).Dark Sea Grey 638 (Hobby Colour H331).Dark Green 641 (Hobby Colour H330).

To compliment the above, Phantom rear end silver decal can be found as an aftermarket item 144123.

NOTE: if modelling XT859 WHITE ENSIGN you will require aftermarket item 144122.

876-1976 ensign featured on both the intake sides. This was the Royal Navy retort to the numerous USN special bicentennial markings, noting the Royal Navy was 1,100 years old rather than the 200 years noted on USN aircraft.
