144120 EMI Reconnaissance Pod is accompanied with 36 part decal set which includes FGR.2 XT898 11(AC) squadron RAF Laarbruch Germany, plus an A5 colour decal placement instruction sheet.
All Recce pods were delivered in overall Light Aircraft Grey.
The EMI recce pod was exclusively developed for the Phantom FGR.2. Testing of the pod took place at Hawker Siddeley test base at Holme-on-Spalding Moor Yorkshire.
The pod was cleared for service use in 1970, it had 5 optical cameras giving stereo photographs.
Only 30 aircraft were modified to carry the pod, number 2 and 41 squadron being the main users.
